ancient miracle, always new

Some miracles occur like clockwork every single year, it’s the exact same old – actually ancient miracle again and again.

This miracle reaches the depths of all my being.  It’s the miracle of Spring noticed first in the air then in the sounds, and where this miracle speaks the most is in the miracle of trees.  

The trees who, for the last few months looked lifeless, but yet lifeforce has been surging within as they are just being, living and standing through the cold and a few stormy times.

These amazing trees still appear nearly dead this time of year, with only their foundation exposed. When you look close though, there’s a different story. It is then that one notices tiny buds just beginning to burst through the branches, getting ready to become an explosion of many shades of green, or pinks, whites and loveliness … one day soon.

Does this sound like you?  A season where you withdrew within because it was all you could do, it was the only natural thing for you.  You felt a bit of self-imposed pressure because you thought others looked on you as if you were lifeless because nothing seemed to be happening that ‘they’ could see.

But YOU knew, you knew inside you was a strong (and sometimes wavering faith) in who you are and who you are becoming.  You needed this time to connect deep within and let go of -well, sometimes it felt like everything, and here you are standing like the bare tree…..for awhile.

Then one still quiet day – a bud comes forth, then the blossom(s) – and then the fragrance.  Your true essence, what has been inside is now the new growth showing up now and the you that is stronger, more loving, more forgiving, compassionate, kind, wise, beautiful  – here now, clear and obvious with vibrant color.

Remember, no matter where you are in life. It’s just a season, a perfect season – that will naturally and gracefully unfold you.

In every season we need nurturing and nourishing. Sometimes in a storm parts of the tree are broken, the wind shuffles things around so much it seems like life is chaos, and sometimes it just feels cold and lonely and we need someone to reassure us of our life force, our faith and who we are.

Sometimes it feels like the season we are in, will last forever.  We long for someone to assure us there is way-more sunshine than storms and that we are okay, and everything will be okay.
